Jim Corbett National Park A Treat For Wildlife Lovers

Jim Corbett National Park is a world heritage site and the first national park of India. The national park is named after Jim Corbett as who played a very important role in discovering the national park. This 512.8sq km huge national park is located in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, a state situated in the north of India. The national park is open for visitors from November to mid of June, the park is closed for the rest of the months as this place receives heavy rainfall from the mid of June till the end of September.

The national park shelters over 110 species of trees, over 50 species of mammals, 580 species of birds and over 25 species of reptiles. You get back to the Corbett Forest Lodge that is protected with solar fencing. The second day you start with an elephant safari in the Dhikala Safari Zone and the Giral Safari Zone. Elephant safari takes you deep inside the wood safe on an elephant back. The third day you take the jeep safari in the same safari zones and forth day you depart from Corbett.
