Char Dham Yatra After Retirement

Mr. Gupta is a very religious person. He and his family never misses out any festival or puja. But Mr. Gupta always wished to go on Char Dham Yatra but due to his responsibilities he could not. Throughout his 40-year service life, he never got enough time to go on Char Dham. But now Mr. Gupta is all set to go on Char Dham as he is now retired. He has plenty of time to go on such tours. Notwithstanding his age, Gupta believes he can make it to foothills of Himalayas and take bath in Holy Gangotri and Yamunotri .
After retirement every person wishes to attain serenity and seek blessings of god for his next life. Hats off to people who in their later ages are ever ready to go on the tour. But there are many practical things which an educated person must be knowing before going to Dhams.
First of all you should be honest to yourself, you are not in twenties or thirties so you shouldn't expect your body to bear climate change or any hiccup during the journey. Comfort is an important factor. You need to get a comfortable journey inclusive of good accommodation and guide.
Budget is also an important aspect but secondary in this case. However, after retirement you would not like to do overspending. And all you need to do is become a smart customer. Find a good travel operator who provides you good and homely facilities.
You will be surprised to know that there are very few tour operators you can understand your requirements. If you like any package but still seek some modifications, you can go ahead with it. Customize your Chardham Yatra packages, accommodation and transport options whenever you want. In fact you can customize your cuisine as well. But to get such good travel operators you need to research.
Internet is the biggest source for this. But you may ask about in your family and friends. They may guide you to a right tour operator. You should talk to the operator and discuss what he/she can provide you best. Some operators provide heavy discount on greater number of people. And in off season, the discount may be more attractive.  At any stage of negotiation you feel things not going in your way, you may back down from the deal.
Post-retirement is perfect time for Char Dham Yatra.  It's your time, go out and enjoy!
