Gir national park is one of the widespread national park of India. It was established in the year 1965 and is positioned about 65 km to the south-east of the “Junagadh” city of Gujarat. Trees are mostly broad leaved and evergreen, giving the area a cool shade and moisture content. It is the largest dry deciduous forest in western India.
