Kedarnath Hotels & Places To Visit In Kedarnath

Every year thousands of tourists visit this place in order to offer their prayers in the Kedarnath temple. In order to accommodate thousands of tourists there are numbers of hotel in Kedarnath. Kedarnath Temple: it is one of the most important holiest Hindu pilgrims of India. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is located at an elevation of 3,584 mts above sea level in the foot of Himalayan peaks. This temple was built by Adi Shankaracharya in the early 8th century.
Chorabari tal: it is a beautiful lake which is situated at 3 kms from Kedarnath. It is located in the mouth of Chorabari Bamak Glacier. It is a pristine lake in which you can see the clear reflection of the gigantic Himalayan peaks. It is also famous by the name of Gandhi sarovar.
Gaurikund: it is a commencement point of the sacred shrine of Kedarnath. This trek is 14kms long. This place is named after the wife of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati. Here you can also offer your prayer in Gauri temple. This place is also blessed with natural thermal springs.
Vasuki Tal: you can reach to this lake by travelling through a moderate trek of 7 kms from Kedarnath. It is located at a height of 4,150 mts above the sea level and surrounded by Himalayan peaks. You can also observe the shadow of Himalayan peaks on the crystal clear water of Vasuki Tal.
Shankaracharya Samadhi: he was a great saint and a scholar and went to his Samadhi at an early age of 32 years. He established four sacred dhams in India before going for Samadhi.
There are many other places to visit in Kedarnath and it is the dream place of every person to visit Kedarnath at least once in their life time. It is also said that this is the place where Pandavas wanted to wash their sins which they committed during Mahabharat.
